The Boulder Poetry Scene has been a dynamic and thriving arts community ever since Allen Ginsberg started the Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics here forty years ago.  The legacy continues today with some of the most vibrant bookstores, events, and poets in the country.  From the Beat Book Shop to Love Shovel Ranch to Innisfree Poetry Bookstore to Bouldering Poets and The Full Moon Reading, there are endless ways here to engage with your poetic passion.  And because of the presence of the University of Colorado and Naropa University there is a constant influx of fresh energy and true believers in our favorite art.

The mission of Boulder Poetry Tribe is to document, promote, and celebrate this amazing scene thru articles and information.  If you’re unaware of us, let us show you who we are.  And if you’re one of us, feel great about yourself.  We ARE doing it.

Thanks, Jonathan, for all your great attention to (and activity in) the current poetry scene in Boulder, and the beautiful design of this handsome, informative, stimulating blog. It is doing it and you are doing it and we are doing it and I don’t think it has ever been done better, or will be soon undone.

Also want to thank you for the interview before the 10th anniversary Laughing Goat reading with Jack Collom– I knew it and I wouldn’t come through unscathed by your sharp and humorous eye, and love the scathing you gave it–

Keep up all this fine work–
